The Fibreries de Touraine have launched a huge construction and renovation project at their Couesmes plant in the north-east of the Indre et Loire region. Currently installed on a surface of 1300 sqm, the company will triple the surface area of its buildings. It will install new production lines for wood wool pads, which will be added to the existing equipment.
The plant will produce not only wood wool pads but also new packaging products. This ultra-modern industrial facility is scheduled to come on stream before the summer of 2023.
This is because the regulatory and climatic context, which is very favourable to eco-responsible products, is pushing The Fibreries de Touraine to increase their production for their customers. The increase in the power of the industrial tool will also enable the company to increase and diversify its offer. One of the new lines will be dedicated to the manufacture of Oenofibre packaging for wine. The Fibreries de Touraine, which are already developing a range for winegrowers, will launch a complete package next year, combining wooden or cardboard crates and wood wool, as well as a new range for logistics distribution networks, whose packaging is a major consumer of polystyrene. Finally, e-commerce, which is growing at double-digit rates every year, is another priority target for the Fibreries.
